The glasses are in! I had a real moment in the eyeglass store when the saleslady first put them on Mara--her reaction was priceless! She opened her eyes a crack and went to close them, but instead did a complete double take, her eyes widening as she looked around to soak everything in. Everyone working there gathered around and we were all tearing up watching her world open up! The glasses had to be adjusted because, no joke, her eyelashes are so long that they were getting squished up onto the lenses! I haven't yet "sewn" the pink strap on, but here are some prelim pics:
(Someone seemed a little jealous by all the attention the glasses-wearer was getting, so he asked Daddy to get the "pink glasses" that he promptly put on and ran around in...I am getting him a cane and tin cup and putting him out on the street to beg for cupcake money)

Now we're off to go get her two-month shots--girlfriend deserves a treat after all of this!!
